Video on Consciousness

I was trying to post this over in the video section of my page.  Anyone else having trouble posting videos?

  1. I wish I knew how to post video's. But for now, I'll content myself with watching the one's posted by others.

  2. If you click on video and then you tube and copy the URL to the video and paste it in the area provided it used to post but I have been struggling for a while with them not appearing for a period of time and then appearing as a draft. To post them in a blog you copy the embed code to the video and click on the html box and then paste the code. Then unclick the html box and it should be there. Sometimes you have to click on preview to see it but sometimes not.

  3. You Tube now has a new check-off part of the downloading videos, where you have to check off the "use old embed code" box with your cursor.

I hope that is the problem, Mary Ellen.

  4. Thanks Doug. I will have to see if I can look closer next time and see what you mean. Sometimes I have issues with a java code error coming up when I try to post a video in the blog box but not always. It is the downloading them to the video page that I have had issues with all year. The down load will show up much later as a draft and I will have to edit it to post it. I thought maybe MP had changed things so that they have to edit videos due to copywrite or something. But I will look for the box you describe. Do I want that box to be checked or unchecked. I am not sure by the way you worded your instructions.

  5. Pardon that, Mary Ellen. You'll need to check it instead of the new embed code that popss up automatically, which is no good for transfering to Multiply.

  6. As for me, I'm still confused. I'm too old for this stuff. But good luck, Mary Ellen.

  8. Why you are still a young pup. But you have spun around 8 more times than me. Not sure exactly how old Doug is. But I think he is in our age group.

  9. my real name's Doug, too. All Dougs look younger than their biological ages.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
And given my former smoking and drinking habit's I should look about 90.
The secrets are in the supplements.
However, my short term memory is admittedly shot. And that's probably due to the alcohol.
Regardless, that's a good video. Most people never give a second thoght to conscousness. It's just there, like ...waking up or something. But huzzah. It can actually be studied. (Which I've always found to be pretty cool.)

  11. Short term memory improves if we can work on our sensory input. I think that relates somehow to consciousness doesn't it?
