Heather The Totality by Matthew Weiner

by

A few years ago my older sister left me a book that she had finished and didn't want to keep.  She kind of chuckled when she handed it to me.  Now not to be critical, but I would describe my older sister as proper.  Although I wouldn't say she was totally no fun or anything like that, I would not consider her wild at all.  So I kind of thought it was a religious book and I wasn't particularly interested.  So it set on my shelf.  Recently I have found myself occasionally in a setting where I am not allowed screen time.  I usually read via my kindle app on my iPad so this is an opportunity to catch up on some of the hard copy books people have given me after they finished them because they know I like to read.  I picked up this particular book first because it is a very short book and I knew I would get through it quickly.  As I began to read I was shocked that my sister had given me this book. The sex started by page six and there were not too many pages where sex wasn't mentioned.   Even though labeled the "wild sister" in our family,  I was a bit put off.  It is not a book that I would have selected to read had I been looking for a book to read.  In fact, most of the way though the book I was rather offended and not looking forward to the ending.  I was sure it was headed to  an upsetting train wreck of a conclusion.  So much so that I almost didn't finish it.  Then to my surprise the ending was absolutely delightful.  So if you don't get pink in the cheeks very easily then you might enjoy this book.  I am not going to to recommend the book but leave you to choose if you want to read it or not.  You can click on the book title and author's name above if you want more information.  And enjoy the video that follows if you want.   I mean really,  who am I going to give this book to?  I have no idea.
